My mother turned 70 years old on Nov. 16, but her four kids are scattered around the world. We wanted to get together and surprise her with something special. An impromptu visit to Michigan wasn’t going to happen. Ultimately, we collaborated on this video tribute. My brother shared a Photo Stream, and we collected video clips from Kate in the States, Meg in Korea, Mike in England and me here in India. Then I pulled everything in to iMovie. Despite an application update that changed the whole program and forced me to re-learn it AND despite a ridiculously slow internet connection all week at home, the video got finished in time to premiere at my mom’s birthday party Sunday night. I’m so grateful to be part of this crazy family!
